Bio of Simon Jacquemet
SIMON JAQUEMET studied Film Directing at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). His first feature, WAR (CHRIEG) premiered in the New Directors section of the San Sebastián International Film Festival in 2014. It went on to tour major festivals like the Berlinale, Karlovy Varyand Locarno. WAR was the recipient of multiple awards, including the Max Ophüls Award for Best Feature Film.
His second feature THE INNOCENT (DER UNSCHULDIGE) premiered in the Platform section of the Toronto International Film Festi- val in 2018, followed by San Sebastián’s Official Selection. It toured major festivals like Fantastic Fest, Thessaloniki, Jeonju and Locarno and wonseveral awards including the Swiss Film Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
Simon’s third feature ELECTRIC CHILD is in post-production and expected to premiere in 2024. Simon Jaquemet is also co-founding web3 project electric.film .
